From the Khasi Hills to Appalachia
Shillong, India
I’ll always be a Khasi girl
Raised in a loving home with parents who struggled financially in the beginning. I became a college teacher, teaching English Literature.
Fiancée Visa to the United States
A rocky road to getting a visa in 2002. I met my husband online and he visited India before we decided to take this step.
Cold Spring to Nassau, New York, to Laguna Hills, California and then Olive Hill, Kentucky
Many trials later, we landed here. So blessed by God to be in this beautiful small town.
Work life
From babysitter and village secretary to working at an art center, to being an admin/AutoCAD drafter/Exec. Assistant/Project Manager/GIS mapper, and now Associate Technical Editor, I’ve enjoyed each stage.
Indie author
It’s been a long journey. I was not born a writer, I needed years of practice and critique from others. But I’ve always wanted to write.
Personal life
A middle-aged mom, living with my husband and sons, an unremarkable but joyful life. Like many moms in America, India, and the world, I’m living one day at a time, dreaming, but rooted in reality.
I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, and He gets me through the rough patches.
